The Kaaimans Deckhouse (“Main House”) is one of three accommodations of the Kaaimans River Lodge. It is neighbors with Rustic Views, a smaller accommodation that can accommodate up to 4 people. If other guests are staying at Rustic Views on the same days of your booking at the Deckhouse, you will likely be aware of their presence at some point, as The Deckhouse and Rustic Views share the same jetty and general footpath (so you may very well bump into other guests down by the river from time to time). Don’t be afraid though, as these are just fellow outdoor enthusiasts looking to break away from everyday hustle.

The actual accommodations have their own private entrances, facilities (fully equipped kitchens, bathrooms, etc), and the decks are separated by a wooden screen. You may occasionally see/ hear other people from one corner of the upper deck. We appreciate all Kaaimans River Lodge guests to be respectful when it comes to noise (especially after 11 pm) – we make that clear during the booking process.

ADDED BONUS: If Rustic Views is NOT occupied by other guests during your stay, then you are welcome to explore that space and enjoy the top deck chill area -which has an incredible view of the Kaaimans River Valley (just please keep the space as clean and tidy as possible).
